Movies - Part II

Back to work today so the time on the couch came to an end but as promised, "Sicky Sickerson - Part II, Movies Part II"

"An Education" - Another "based on a true story" film about a young woman coming of age. The movie was well made and crafted, the story good, a subtle film that was ripe with life lessons, "an education." Overall it was good but the story had been heard times before and there wasn't much more to it. 3/5 remotes (Side note: Why does it seem like Brits are obsessed with the "younger woman/older man dynamic"? Apparently it weighs heavily on their collective psyche, 2 of the last 3 BBC movies I've seen were about this subject. Just sayin.')

"Breach" - Based on a true story, Breach narrates the capture of the greatest spy in U.S. History, Rob Hanssen. Billed as a psychological thriller it does offer some suspense however, you already know how it ends. Throughout the whole movie it was difficult to tell what was the real story and what was "Hollywood". Overall not bad with a great performance from Chris Cooper as agent Hanssen, and a "typical" role for Ryan Phillippe. 3.5/5 Remotes
