Rude Awakening

So you wanna hear something that really pisses me off? The damn neighbors lighting a round of firecrackers at 12:15 AM!! Here we are asleep in bed windows open due to the unseasonably warm temperatures and all of a sudden it was like an old episode of Batman, BAM! POWW! BIFF! we thought somebody had been shot. So after a while of trying to figure it out ourselves we called the police non-emergency line and they said somebody was on their way out. Well after a while the puppies weren't going to last much longer in the house so we had to take them around the block to try and calm their nerves. Well we saw some patrol cars go by but it didn't seem like they were very concerned. Then we called back and they said it was just fireworks, the neighbors were issued a noise violation and warned not to let it happen again. So here's the question am I getting old or was that really uncool? I hope its the latter. In any case we're exhausted and really I need a nap!
