"...you know in your heart that it's right." This was the quote uttered by a great friend of mine about why you have to be in love with baseball.
Opening day, which took two tries to get it in, is one of those experiences that everyone should experience at least once. The world kinda stops and it's like Christmas all over again. It didn't matter that it was rained out, although I would have kinda liked those runs to have carried over, or that you weren't sure whether or not you were at a football Tiger's game or a Cardinal "boys of summer" experience it's baseball and life is just a little bit better. I'm not sure if it's the childhood experiences, the "Field of Dreams" moments, or the unlimited number of moments you've had with family and friends while experiencing the games but you know it's just right, baseball is back and the world is just that much happier, your job sucks just a little bit less, and your relationships are just a little bit tighter. Long live baseball, and GO CARDS!
