Shrek the Third

Alright so last friday before leaving to attend a friend's wedding in Rogers, AR we went to go see Shrek the Third...here's the review.

"Shrek the Third" - Starring the voice talents of Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas, Julie Andrews, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Rupert Everett, and Justin Timberlake. With another host of different voice cameos too long to list. This being another third among the many I'll go light on the plot outline and focus mainly on a commentary. (Spoiler alert) Plot, real easy Shrek is heir to the throne, doesn't want it...there is another. Subplots, Prince Charming wants to be king, Fiona is pregnant. While I thought the graphics were about the same as the originals the story was a little bit too "kid friendly." This one didn't have as many of the grown-up undertones as the first two but there were still a few punches left for Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and the gang. Idle adds a relative amount of Brittish mad cap "Monty Pythonism" to the film and at a point where it really needs it. Over all pretty good movie just more "kid friendly" than I would have expected from a satirical franchise. 4/5 Remotes
